Brittany Curran Interview! follow her on twitter.! @brittanycurran
Q-You are a very beautiful girl, was there ever a time where you felt insecure about your looks
A-Well, no, not really. I was brought up in a family that was very loving and supportive and installed self esteem in me and my little brother, Ryan. Feeling insecure accomplishes nothing; it's detrimental and only invites more criticism.
Q-You became a celebrity at quite a young age was it hard? Would you change anything if you had the chance?
A-Getting to the point in my career I am now, sure wasn't easy. There were lots of challenges but every one was so worth it. If things come too easy, we tend to take them for granted. Needless to say, I have never taken my career for granted. The fame never bothered me because it came gradually and at a good pace. I was always able to prepare myself and always stay grounded. I wouldn't change anything because that would change where I am now and I am exactly where I want to be on my path.
Q-Do you feel you missed out on parts of being a "normal" Kid?
A-I did get a normal childhood growing up in Cape Cod. As a teenager my life started to stray away from the norm, but I welcomed it! Most of the kids my age had a normal adolescence, let them have it! I liked my unique situation. I did get to go to my senior prom, through Burroughs High School in Burbank. I played powder puff football(crushed Burbank High 19 to 0!) and I got to graduate from Burroughs. The only difference for me was on weekends I'd be going to red carpet events!
Q-I heard that you slipped cinderella a letter when you were younger stating that you wanted to be in a disney movie? Was it hard to always be trying so hard and waiting awhile to get discovered?
A-When I was in Disney World one summer I did give Cinderella a letter when I was about 8 asking to be in a Disney movie! That's such a happy moment of my childhood! But, I actually wasn't waiting around awhile to be discovered; I was going to school, doing dance, being a kid. I wasn't pursuing acting at the time and didn't even think about it, I was just another kid enjoying my life. It wasn't until I was 10 that I started taking acting class and got discovered soon after that. I was very fortunate and very thankful! Cool thing is, a few years later when I was 14, I was cast as a lead in the Disney movie "Go Figure," a dream come true!
Q-What do you consider to be the biggest fashion trends this year?
A-I don't really consciously follow "trends" per say, but I do like the 'tights/leggings under dresses and long shirts with boots' look.
Q-What kind of music is your favorite?
A-Rock and roll!! Mainly classic rock from the 60's and 70's. Led Zeppelin and The Beatles are my two favorite bands. I've seen The Who front row! I've seen Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, half of Pink Floyd, and Simon & Garfunkle live. I also love classical music. Two of my favorite composers are Antonio Vivaldi and Mozart. Also I love film scores. I've seen John Willliams at the Hollywood Bowl 2 or 3 times. He is BRILLIANT.
Q-What trend do you find to be your favorite?
A-Being yourself!
Q-What advice would you give to people trying to be in the entertainment busniess?
A-If you love film and understand that success doesn't happen overnight and are willing to be in it for the long haul I say let nothing stop you. Read a lot, study the classic film stars and brilliant actors of our day(Meryl Streep, Tome Hanks, Sean Penn), stay level-headed, and fill your life with things other than acting. Have a full life.
Q-What are your views on reality shows like Jersey Shore and American Idol? Do you think those shows are realistic? Do you think that's the way to become an actor or actress now a days?
A-For the love of God, no. Now, a show like American Idol is a good show and has found some amazing talent. But, most "reality" shows turn people into public spectacles. They create celebrities, not actors; celebrities that lack longjevity and fall off the map within a few years. Those shows, in general, have become quite scripted in order to create false drama. Some of them are fun to watch, but being on most of those shows is not the way to becoming a respected and true actor.
Q-Who is your rolemodel &why?
A-My dad is my biggest role model because he is incredibly loving, charitable, brilliant, and knows how to use both sides of his brain very well!! My other role models include Meryl Streep, C.S. Lewis, and Leonardo da Vinci.
Q-Do you have any projects or movies coming up soon?
A-Currently I am a series regular on Men of a Certain Age playing Ray Romano's daughter. The second season premieres on December 6th at 10pm on TNT.

Leather or Lace
Hey guys! Sorry It's been awhile since the last post, crazy weekend! But the topic supposed to be discussed today was leather or lace. Whats your preference? Leather has a "bad girl rep" of being hard edged and overly sexy. Where as lace has this sweet little innocent rep. Paired together can you imagine the power they'd have?! I feel you shouldn't have to choose between leather and lace paired together they are super cute! For example A cute white little lace dress paired with black leather leggings and white pumps would be super cute! the best part of it is that leather and lace are very versitile you can wear the lace dress in the summer then buy a cute pair of leather or faux liquid leather leggings for the fall to wear then when winter comes grab a leather jacket and you have a outfit for every season just by adding a simple peice of clothing!
so leather and lace is a must! a great website to buy from would be http://shop.nordstrom.com/

lingerie as outerwear
Lingerie as outerwear has become quite popular this fall season it's a mix of sexy and shows a little bit of permiscuity. But it warrants a mixed reaction of opinions. Tacky or Tasteful is the question discussed today? my viewpoint on this is that I find it to be very trendy if worn the right way. When you wear it it's a fine line between trendy to trashy, for example i think the innocent peices like the white laces and the corest tops with the bubble skirts are perfectly fine. But when you start getting into the little nighty/teddy styles that look like your wearing your victoria secret out is where it's crossing the line. You can have fashion and be sexy without revealing too much! Especially being in highschool thats a big conflict. Girls think "Fashion" is wearing their $250 dollar 6inch heels with a micro mini dress is fashion. Fashion doesn't always have to be revealing it can be sexy and innocent. A great site for absolutley the cutest trendiest clothing would be http://www.shopnastygal.com/! def check it out! Tommorow we'll be discussing Leather or Lace
